GWO Training Systems

The Global Wind Organisation (GWO) is a non-profit body founded and owned by its members - all of whom are globally leading wind turbine manufacturers and owners/operators. Their members strive for an injury free work environment in the wind turbine industry, setting common international standards for safety training and emergency procedures.

SEFtec has been building survival training simulators for 20 years. Our primary focus has always been offshore safety and so we have embraced the requirements of GWO training and incorporated them into our modular training systems. The below systems can all be integrated with other SEFtec systems, allowing training centres to acquire GWO training facilities and to incorporate STCW and OPITO standards as well.

Modular GWO Sea Survival Pools

SEFtec Modular Training Units (MTUs) can be configured to satisfy all the requirements of the GWO Basic Safety Training Sea Survival Module.

GWO Crew Transfer Platforms

SEFtec can provide pool transfer platforms that incorporate docking ladders, evacuation platform and a helicopter hoist trainer.

GWO Working at Height Platform

SEFtec can add a Working at Height training platform to our modular system which fully complies with GWO BST requirements.

GWO Smoke Container

As part of the GWO Basic Safety Training standard, delegates must learn how to safely evacuate a smoke filled environment. SEFtec can deliver suitably modified containers as well as fire trays for extinguisher training as part of their modular GWO system.

GWO Advanced Rescue Trainer

The SEFtec GWO ART module adds a realistic wind turbine tower and nacelle that complies with every element of the GWO Advanced Rescue Training module.

Jib Systems

To help lift crew transfer vessels and other equipment into and out of the pool, SEFtec can supply a suitable jib system. This creates more pool space for in-water training, when required.
